Just as President Buhari assented to the 2020 budget, so did Bonny Light price rally to $66.22pb. How long this rally will last depends on the probability of an easing of trade tensions between China and the US.

The budget benchmark price is $57pb, giving a current headroom of $10pb which is good news for the fiscal deficit.
