However, like any other commodity, it is susceptible to ant attacks and diseases, including Cocoyam root rot disease (CRRD).<\/p>\n<p>This has limited Nigeria\u2019s cocoyam output to 3.2mn tonnes, 36% below its potential of 5mn tonnes.
