Google recently honoured the iconic writer with a doodle, on what would have been his 87th birthday. His novel, Things Fall Apart, published in 1958, is still included in the high school curricula across many nations. The story deftly combines themes of community, romance, and achievement with truths about history and human frailty, to create a timeless page turner.

Meanwhile, Nigeria’s real GDP growth for Q3 2017 increased by 1.4%, mainly due to a spike in oil production (2.03mbpd). Real GDP growth of the oil sector was 25.89% (y-o-y) in Q3 2017. This is 48.92% higher than the rate recorded in the corresponding quarter of 2016.
