Price of diesel has jumped 10% from N210 per litre in December to N230 per litre. This is likely to have a direct impact on domestic commodity prices and inflation. It is also the fuel used by transporters and distributors.

The petroleum marketers are expecting the price to normalize at N205 per litre as crude prices fall and demand for diesel to power generators declines in the near term.

In the slides, these issues were discussed by analysts at the FDC Think Tank on Channels TV Business Morning programme today.
