New deadline for NIN registration – A sigh of relief!!!

Just yesterday, there was a huge sigh of relief from over 60mn Nigerians, as the SIM-NIN linkage and NIN registration deadline was extended by two months to April 6 from its previous date of February 9. This gives people more time to get their NIN and synchronize with their phone numbers to avoid being cut off. Even though, this is a good step, the mind bugging question about the success rate of this process at a time when Covid cases are spiking lingers. We are of the opinion that automating the process and or involving commercial banks would not only speed up the process but also ensure that Covid prevention guidelines are strictly adhered to.

This edition of the Unity Bank Digest offers you a cocktail of the latest news in business, economics and entertainment.
