Dear Subscriber,
Double celebration for Nigeria!
World Tourism Day was first celebrated in 1980 in recognition of the role tourism plays in shaping the social, cultural, and economic facets of our lives.
The sector is growing at an average of 43% annually, generating no less than $8.6 trillion in revenue globally. It is also a unifying factor in a highly polarized and fractured world.
This special edition of the Edo State Tourism Digest is not only a celebration of global tourism, which is 43 years old, but also recognizes the Nigerian state at 63 with the theme that there were nations before the birth of the Nigerian nation.
Here’s to a joyous World Tourism Day, and heartfelt cheers to all Nigerians at 63!
Enjoy your read.
