THE UNITY BANK DIGEST – DECEMBER 18, 2018

Dear Subscriber,

Christmas in 2019 is unique in that food prices only spiked marginally and the celebration is relatively low key. Falling on a Tuesday, this is a midweek festive period. Airline bookings have been relatively low as the influx of visiting friends and relatives this year is not as much as in previous years.

The political campaigns have started and much of the expected splash of cash has not yet happened. That is why this edition of Unity bank digest is targeted at the sober Nigerian who wants a quiet but merry Christmas week.

Meanwhile, Bobby Brown and Bell Biv Devoe (BBD) are in town for the Pepsi Rhythm Unplugged. They would be performing an array of their chart-topping hit records ’Candy Girl’, ‘My Prerogative’, ‘Poison’, ‘Mr. Telephone Man’ and lots more. Please remember that Bobby was the husband of the legendary Whitney Houston. For those of you “Whitney fans”, remember the song of Jermaine Jackson “Don’t take it personal”

This edition of the Unity Bank Digest tells you that this is a Christmas with a difference. Turkey price is down and the price of rice is up.

Merry Christmas.
