Land borders reopened at last!!!

The president has instructed that the land borders be reopened after mixed signals from some public officials on the issue. This directive is coming at an opportune time, with the AfCFTA taking effect in less than two weeks. Also, local producers who have enjoyed a monopoly for over 10months should brace themselves for increased competition as trade with neighboring countries resumes.

Inflation up by 0.66% to 14.89% in November

Nigeria’s headline inflation is at a 34-month high of 14.89% in November. This is the 15th consecutive monthly increase and represents the first inflation report since the increase in the price of PMS and electricity tariffs.
